The Froth Flotation Cell Apparatus is used to separate valuable minerals from ore using differences in surface properties. It consists of a flotation cell, air supply system, agitator, and froth collection mechanism. Finely ground ore is mixed with water and reagents to form a slurry, then air is bubbled through, causing hydrophobic particles to attach to bubbles and rise as froth. This froth is skimmed off, allowing for efficient mineral concentration, widely used in mining and metallurgical labs.
